What do I need to apply for the exam?
To receive the IIBDSA-M (Certified Data Master) certification, you need to have completed enough hours of in-person training and pass the certification exam.
To get access to the certification exam, your application needs to
- show sufficient hours of relevant work experience within the topics,
- include 2 references of managers and/or peer verifying your work experience,
- show that you have completed sufficient hours of in-person training,
- if applicable, have successfully passed the audit and
- have been approved.
What if I still need to attend an in-person training to apply?

The exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions.
The questions might be designed to assess your understanding on the topics. It can be done by testing whether the statement is true or false, asking what might be the most appropriate ending of a phrase or choosing all the correct options from the possible answers. Questions can be situational-based, contain multiple correct answers and are generally designed to test your deep understanding of the topic.
